The Wedding Of Nicolas And Marie- Laure Posted on 10.06.2011
There's nothing greater in matrimony and in the family than to start it with God, to plan it with God. For the Bible says unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, its watch men stand guard in vain (Psalm 127v2). Understanding the fact that marriage is the will of God, instituted by God, they both have decided to plan with God and make Him the head of their home. Both of them proudly announce to the world their wedlock which takes place on the 25 of June 2011, a year to be remembered.
Of course, what comes to the mind of the Belgians when the 9th of August 1980 is mentioned, is that on this day in History, the Belgian constitution was revised. But in Palermo-Italy, on the 9th of August 1980, Nicolas Iraci was born to Mr. Elio Iraci and Mrs. Bernadette Desclin.
Yet, another date is bringing significance to Nicolas' life. The date of his wedding, June 25th 2011, with the one who is the source of his many smiles, and whom he has come to crown as the queen of his heart. Marie-Laure is the one who caught his attention and with whom he longs to share his life as one.
The world came to know her as Marie-Laure Thys, born and bred in Tournai-Belgium.
on the 6th of September 1979, into the family of Mr. Thys Pierre as the father and Mrs. Nottebaert Martine as the mother.
Not only is her birthday a subject of praise to God but also the date of her marriage: 25 June 2011. It will linger on her mind as the moment she celebrated before God for giving her the man, her hero and the king of her heart.
The Bible says a wife is a favor from God. And of the husband who finds that favor, as having found what is good (Proverbs 18v22;19v14).
We are grateful to God for them all. And also count on your supportive presence during their wedding.
The Belgium Spiritual Revival Conference posted 16.01.2011
The Belgium Spiritual Revival Conference held in Anderlecht-Brussels on the 6th to the 9th of January 2011 has ended on a note of success but not without its challenges.
The challenges faced seem to be something similar to what some pentecostal churches around Brussels are used to. These factors range from time to space and noise limitations.
It was a success because of the many resources that were available to handle the challenges that surfaced.
The meetings held in the evenings from day one to three, were forced to close earlier because, as they said, the unbelieving neighborhood doesn't accept noise at certain hours of the day.
What they called noise, being undefined, may consist of anything from talking, singing, praying and musical instruments. A good reason for revival, though.
The man of God, Rev. Akubueze, being experienced to what he heard, told everyone that worship led by music is good but that it's better for worshippers to bring into the assembly their worship.
He added that every child of God is a worshipper who sings and makes music in his/her heart without any external musical instruments (Ephesians 5v19). In other words, worship begins in the heart internally not with the external instruments.
He concluded that musical instrument is to accompany the one who's already in worship and not to lead worshippers on how, where and when to worship God.
I can relate to what Rev. Akubueze was saying because some people don't know how to enter into worship or, simply put, worship God, without musical instruments or the sound of music.
This can be fleshy and deceptive if we believe that without music we can't worship God. Many, however, were encouraged as the team distributed hymn books from which many songs were sung.
I think this is one of the reasons we need revival: to be able to worship God with the music from within.
There was a brief comic moment when the man of God tried to interpret what was called "African Time" in respect to that of GTM. He said he searched for the phrase in the dictionary but couldn't find it. Funny!
The phrase "African time", unlike the others, denotes rather a delay from the actual time of event. It means when service starts at 18h, African audience would prefer coming one or two hours later.
The man of God exhorted the listeners that there's no such thing in heaven and that heaven is a place of excellence. And as children born of God, we should strive to be children of excellence. Just as our "Yes is yes" and our "No is no" so also is our timings (Matt 5v37). His exhortation went well with the audience.
Another statement the man of God made was that of the crowds who stand behind you but are not for you. He read from the book of Judges Chapter 7 that talks about Gideon and the Midianites. Gideon had 32000 soldiers to be used of God but the Lord God used only 300 to finally deliver Israel from its enemies. This implies that 31.700 soldiers were sent home. Isn't that a pity?
The points he made were that (1) many could be around you but really aren't for you. (2) The many who could be in the church but are not all for God. (3) The people who could say yes to you but don't share your vision. And to take it a bit home, (4) they many churches in Belgium who seem to be for God but not all stand for the things and values of God.
He said that God doesn't need that many churches to bring revival to Belgium but just the few unafraid ones, the few who are willing to pay the cost for revival. The few who are willing to let go of their egos, and all things that divide them.
Coming to the word of God, yes it was powerful, indisputably powerful. The subject was "The power of prayer." A word needed for the hour. A heart breaking word. It was a word for soldiers who long for victory. In short, being under the anointing from which the word emanated, your life as a Christian would take another turn for the glory of God. The man of God had so much to say but he was very pressured by time.
There was a consecration for the Italian child whose parents took great advantage to have the man of God bless their family.
The daily prayers were very powerful, you could feel it, you could sense it, you could see it. The spirit of death over God's people was broken by the Lord and a Pastor was delivered from the spirit of premature death.
What was so surprising was the speed at which people came up for prayers. You could see the hunger for the Lord in the hearts of people.
On the fourth day, which was the closing day, an altar call was made for salvation and both black and whites lifted up hands as the man of God led them to Jesus. They accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives and I think that was a recorded moment in history both in heaven and on the earth. The angels rejoiced (Luke15 v7, v10) and we rejoiced with them.
If this was the only aspect of the conference, it was worth it. To God be all the glory.
